If your business is currently sending direct mail, or if they are interested in trying out something new, now is the time! There are USPS promotions running year-round, but a few will be ending by June or July of this year. There is still time to take part in these promotions and get discounts for your company.
Color Transpromo (July 1st – December 31st): Save 2% on postage when you turn your marketing messages into colorful, personalized and dynamic printed pieces. The goal of this USPS promotion is a great one: to not only boost the visual appeal of your bills, statements and business mailers with dynamic color and print, but also to increase open rates and customer response. Eligible mail for this promotion includes First-Class Mail commercial letters that are part of an IM Full-Service mailing.
Emerging & Advanced Technology (ending August 31st): Businesses that use direct mail in a way that integrates NFC technology, Video in Print (ViP), beacon technology, augmented reality, virtual reality or a digital to direct mail experience can save 2% on postage. This is a great way to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, all while engaging customers and offering them a more personalized, interactive experience.
Tactile, Sensory & Interactive Engagement (ending July 31st): There’s something unique and attention-grabbing about direct mail pieces that stimulate our senses. By sending direct mail that incorporates a multi-sensory experience, such as specialty papers, die cut pieces, or raised areas, businesses can save 2% on postage.
Direct Mail Starter (ending July 31st): First-time mailers can save 5% on postage for sending up to 10,000 mailpieces that incorporate print-mobile technology (such as QR codes, enhanced augmented reality, or barcode tracking technology).
Mobile Shopping (August 1st – December 31st): This promotion provides a 2% postage discount to companies that allow customers to go directly from a mail piece to a mobile-optimized website. This can be done through QR codes, watermarkers, or snap tags, and includes USPS Marketing Mail letters and flats as well as USPS Marketing Mail for non-profit companies.
