The Post Office has offered discounts for mailers that use emerging technologies as part of their mail campaigns, and this holiday season, the USPS is drinking its own champagne.
As part of their “This Is Our Season” marketing campaign, the Post Office is launching their own augmented reality app. When smartphone users aim their phone at one of the 156,271 mailboxes located coast-to-coast, the blue mailboxes will transform into an igloo and will promote the free shipping box promotion the USPS is offering.
The augmented reality app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
