Our Pittsburgh facility is increasingly becoming central to our mail processing strategy, as our Pitt operations manager Sean, and his tech team, get a new toy to play with in the process.
We've again grown our Pittsburgh commingled mail processing capacity: Two new Apex sorters are online - one residing at our Pittsburgh facility - better positioning us to utilize Pittsburgh for increasing customer standard mail volumes.
Adding another Apex mail sorter in Pittsburgh means we are running Standard commingled mail around the clock at our Eastern location. Our customers are getting mail delivered directly to consolidation centers; and, we're using high-speed rail to ship Standard mail down deep into the Southeastern US.
Pittsburgh is also serving as a redundant site for processing capacity, in the event there's a serious problem at the Cleveland production facility. This provides peace of mind for our customers, who know their mail will be commingled and shipped regardless of circumstance.
