The Lorain County Board of Elections voted Thursday to spend $121,450 with Midwest Direct to print ballots for this year's elections.

The contract with the Cleveland firm is for ballots to be used in both the March primary and November general elections, Board of Elections Director Paul Adams said at a brief board meeting.

The only other bid received was for $200,580 by Marketing Communication Resource for both the primary and general elections.

The board also voted unanimously to spend not more than $5,200 for up to 10 ePollbook readers and another $4,000 for a new DS200 ballot scanner.
